The Oklahoma Master Chorale performs choral masterworks under the direction of Dr. Vickie Schaeffer. Our goal is to use scholarship and integrity to the intent of the composer as parameters of an artistic musical performance. Careful score analysis affords the performers insight into the written score, which we employ to bring alive the music to the listener. Since so many of the classics were written for worship, our performances when appropriate will be set within a liturgical environment that enhances the original settings. The group is dedicated to fine musicianship and careful score analysis to bring choral literature alive to the listener. The group performs locally and across the region. Incorporated under the Oklahoma Choral Association, both the Oklahoma Master Chorale and Schola have tax-exempt status.
The Oklahoma Master Chorale is not affiliated with any church or other organization, but will perform masterworks from various international faith traditions, often in appropriate liturgical environments.
Small ensembles can be booked for entertainment or special events.
